Plastic is down for scheduled New Year’s maintenance, as mentioned on the site.

DNS issues mostly resolved…image server still has some trouble…

In what seems to be a repeat of what happened exactly one year ago this week, Plastic’s DNS server is down. The Plastic web server itself (64.81.27.93) is up…and the site is even accessible if you add that IP to your HOSTS file under www.plastic.com.

As of late 23 Dec, Carl is working on switching the DNS records…as soon as Network Solutions cooperates…

Plastic is operational.

Plastic is down for Year-End backup and maintenance…

As of late Tuesday, December 26th, Plastic’s DNS server is inaccesible. You may experience problems accessing the site while the name server is unreachable/down. If you have trouble connecting, you may be able to work around the problem (if so inclined) by adding Plastic’s IP address, 66.92.5.85, to your hosts file.

This notice will be updated once the situation is rectified or more information is available.

A faulty cable was to blame for this weekend’s downtime.

Intermittent trouble accessing the site was reported on the evening of Thursday September 3rd. Plastic went down around 5pm Friday. No news yet as to causes.
